Vacant mobile home destroyed by fire

A fire ruined a recently vacated mobile home and damaged nearby property early Sunday, the North Charleston Fire Department said.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 7335 Stall Road at 1:55 a.m., Battalion Chief Eric Phillips said.

The double-wide next door to Spivey's Mobile Home Park was a complete loss. Crews evacuated people from a neighboring home, but they were able to return to the home, Phillips said.

Heat from the fire damaged that home and two boats parked nearby. Nobody was hurt. The cause was under investigation.
